Glen Hiemstra is the founder and owner of Futurist.com, a company that focuses on the dissemination of information about the future and how to create it. An internationally respected futurist, Glen has advised professional, business, and governmental organizations for two decades. He is the author of Turning the Future into Revenue: What Businesses and Individuals Need to Know to Shape Their Futures, from John Wiley & Sons, 2006. Previously he co-authored Strategic Leadership: Achieving Your Preferred Future.

Glen is a popular speaker who focuses on emerging trends in science, technology, economics, demographics, energy, the environment, and transportation. An expert in preferred future planning, Glen goes beyond simple trend analysis to discuss the opportunity that we have to shape the future. Currently he is appearing weekly in an online video production called FutureTalks.com for a series exploring the future of media and content.

Over the years he has advised many leading companies, government agencies and organizations including Microsoft, Boeing, Adobe, Ernst & Young, PaineWebber, ShareBuilder, Ambrosetti (Italy), Club of Amsterdam, Northern Telecom, Burlington Northern, Weyerhaeuser, Hewlett Packard, Novo Nordisk, U.S./Mexico JWC, APAX Partners, Costa Rica Hotel Association, Atlanta 2060, Tulsa 2025, Idaho Transportation 2030, Federal Highway Administration Advanced Research, John Deere, and many others.

Mr. Hiemstra has also served as a technical advisor for futuristic television programs. He has worked with Steven Bochco Productions and others. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, US News & World Report, The Futurist, and the Los Angeles Times.

In a first career, Glen was an award-winning educator and he has served as a Visiting Scholar at the Human Interface Technology Lab at the University of Washington, which works on virtual and augmented reality technology.

Phillip Swann, aka Swanni, is president of TVPredictions.com, an industry web site/consultancy that tracks the TV technology industry.

Mr. Swann has been a featured speaker at numerous television industry conferences, including the Ohio Cable & Telecommunications Association conference, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association convention and the then-Scientific-Atlanta Interactive TV conference. He has also been a featured speaker at the Iowa PBS Digital TV conference for six straight years and he was a headlined speaker at the national PBS Technology Conference in April, 2004.

Mr. Swann has appeared on many TV and radio shows, including the NBC Nightly News, CNN and Inside Edition. He has been quoted on TV issues in dozens of publications, including The New York Times, Newsweek, Smart Money, The Hollywood Reporter, Daily Variety, Wired News, CableWORLD, and The Associated Press.

He also has written a weekly column for Television Week, and his bylined articles on television have been featured in a variety of publications, including The New York Times SyndicateEmmy Magazine, Satellite DIRECT, and CableWORLD.
